The gunman on the film set where Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed, suspects that someone put sharp ammunition in the weapon that Alec Baldwin fired.
– Who did it and why, is the central question. No one could have foreseen or thought that someone would bring sharp ammunition on the set, says weapons officer Hannah Gutierrez Reed in a statement issued by her lawyer Jason Bowles.

– Hannah kept the weapons behind lock and key, also at lunch that day. She asked her department to keep an eye on the cart where the weapons were stored when she was busy with other tasks or had a lunch break, Bowles writes.

It is further stated that Reed carried out weapons training with the actors, including Alec Baldwin, and that she regularly emphasized that one should never aim the weapon at people.
Reed examined the ammunition in the weapon before giving the weapon to recording director David Halls, according to the statement.
Police have found 500 shots on the set – a mixture of loose cartridges, prop cartridges and sharp ammunition.
