NEW YORK – For all fans of the Netflix series “Stranger Things”In New York City, a real-life supernatural experience comes to Times Square.
Netflix announced Wednesday that it will open its first pop-up store on Saturday on “Stranger Things” day, providing fans with an immersive experience full of mystery, friendship and, of course, ’80s nostalgia.
The pop-up store, located on the corner NW of 42nd Street and 7th Ave, will allow people to explore the universe of “Stranger Things“, interact with some of the characters on the show and take a part of the experience home.
Visitors will be able to enter some of the most iconic places in the program, come face to face with a Demogorgon, take photos in Snowball DancHey Joyce’s house in Hawkins, shop at the Starcourt Mall, avoid the Rift at the Russian Lab, and play at the Palace Arcade.
“We are always looking for new and innovative ways to allow Stranger Things fans to see more of themselves on the show they love,” Netflix Director of Experiences Greg Lombardo said in a press release.
The pop-up retail experience will feature recreations of “realistic” scenarios that will place fans in some of their favorite scenes from the show.
“This first store of Stranger Things sends them straight to the heart of Hawkins, in a truly immersive retail experience, totally excited by the vibes of the 80s and the opportunity to take home a piece of their favorite show with unique products that are not available anywhere, ”said Lombardo. .
Fans will be able to collect exclusive keepsakes, including General Mills Stranger Things cereal, packaged in original ’80s boxes with interactive features on the back, a wide variety of collectible Bandai action figures including a series of 16-inch Demogorgons. and many more unique merchandise pieces.
Tickets for the pop-up show experience are free and can be booked here. Attendees will be required to wear face masks and comply with local COVID-19 guidelines.
Another pop-up store will also open in Los Angeles at The Americana at Brand.
The fourth season of the Emmy-nominated show is expected to launch on Netflix in 2022.
