A 30-year-old woman suffered strange complications after spending COVID-19 in Doha. She undresses naked in public and drinks liquid soap on her stomach.
At the moment there is no evidence that the patient has suffered from mental problems. All abnormalities were triggered after the coronavirus infection.
The woman had very mild symptoms of the disease and was not even admitted to hospital. On the fourth day of her quarantine, she showed strange symptoms, which are described in an article in the British Medical Journal.
Her relative said he found her “over-excited, unable to sleep and talking.” The woman was talking to people who were not in the room, so her boyfriend was worried he was hallucinating. When calling her relatives, the infected woman confused their names, and when walking to the store, she simply stripped naked on the street.
However, when she drank a liter of soap, her relatives decided to seek medical help. The woman later explained her actions to a psychiatrist, saying that the soap smelled good, so she tasted it.
