Jakarta –
Eradication of illegal online loans (pinjol) continues to be carried out by the Investment Alert Task Force (SWI). This time, SWI closed 116 illegal lending entities found in cyber patrols operating on the internet and applications.
“We will continue to carry out cyber patrols and close the illegal loan applications and websites that are still operating, so that the public does not become victims,” said Tongam L. Tobing, chairman of the Investment Alert Task Force in his official statement, Wednesday (3/11/2021).
In addition to closing the operation of the illegal lending application and website, the list of illegal loans has also been reported to the police for legal action.
“Strict action against the perpetrators of this illegal crime must continue to be carried out to protect the community,” he stressed.
Tongam also supported the statement by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD which stated that the illegal loan agreement in operation was declared invalid and did not meet the conditions of the correct agreement. According to him, if people have become victims of illegal lending and receive threats and terror of violence, they are asked to immediately report to the police.
In addition to illegal lending activities, the Investment Alert Task Force also stopped seven business activities suspected of carrying out business activities without permission from the competent authority and duplicating or on behalf of licensed entities that could potentially harm the public.
His party appealed to the public to be careful of investment offers through Telegram because there are elements of illegal investment offers.
The Task Force also revealed that there was one entity that normalized or revoked the block mark, namely Luminesia.com because it had proven that its activities were not illegal investment activities.
