MÁLAGA, 2 Nov. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cánovas Theater of Malaga, belonging to the Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage and managed through the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, will host in November the children’s program of the ‘Flamenco Viene del Sur’ cycle, with appointments on the 3rd and November 16, the latter coinciding with the International Flamenco Day.
This Wednesday, Infant and Primary students from CEIP La Paz in Torremolinos (Málaga) will learn more about flamenco art through the puppet show ‘The heart that moves flamenco’ by Miguel Pino Children’s Productions.
It will be 50 minutes where the flamenco duende will guide the little ones to the world of flamenco, illustrated by a cantaora, Mamen Ruiz, accompanied by Rubén Portillo on guitar and bailaora Ana Pastrana. The company will show the different styles, alegrías and bulerías in an entertaining way, highlighting melodies, lyrics, choreography and history.
In addition, on November 16, the students of the CEIP Algazara of the municipality of Alhaurín de la Torre will enjoy the proposal of the Vibra -tó company and the didactic concert of the same name where instrumentalist musicians offer a show with unusual instruments made with waste materials.
It is an interactive didactic-musical concert where they will perform their own compositions and music from universal folklore with instruments made with waste materials: collectors from which falsetas and flamenco songs come out, showers in the key of jazz, cans turned into guitars and tambourines, bottles , funnels, combs, tubes, etc.
In short, an experience that brings together the love for music and instruments, as well as respect for the environment and that has as responsible musicians Miguel Guinea and Joaquín Sánchez.
The program of the Cánovas Theater has one more year with the sponsorship of the Unicaja Foundation. Both proposals are part of the children’s cycle ‘Flamenco Viene del Sur’, which, as every year, is held at the Cánovas Theater within the XXXI Didactic Cycle of Theater, Music and Dance for boys and girls.
The didactic program will continue with ‘Lázaro de Tormes’ by Pata Teatro on November 24 and 25, ‘Las maravillas del mundo’ by the Beyond Dance David Segura company on February 3 and 4, ‘Fuenteovejuna’ by the Jóvenes Clásicos company. February 9 and ‘Broken play’ by Indúo Teatro on February 16.
