Jakarta, Gatra.com – Roche Indonesia and Docquity on Tuesday (2/11), announced the launch of the first digital network of oncologists in Indonesia, the Breast Cancer Experts Network channel, on the Docquity doctor network platform. As a pioneer of the networking community in Southeast Asia, this channel aims to support the transformation of the healthcare ecosystem in Indonesia.
By enabling oncologists, particularly in Indonesia, the channel can also share information and experiences through digital networks, thereby improving management outcomes for breast cancer patients in this country. “Breast Cancer Experts Network demonstrates Roche’s ongoing commitment and investment in the oncology community,” said Ait-Allah Mejri, President Director of Roche Indonesia, in a press release received by Gatra.com on Tuesday (2/11).
“Through this network, the best oncology specialists will come together and together form a community that shares expertise and resources dedicated to advancing breast cancer treatment and delivering better treatment outcomes for patients,” he added.
In Indonesia and in the world, breast cancer ranks first as the most common type of cancer suffered by women. However, breast cancer has comprehensive management guidelines and continues to be updated in an effort to optimize patient treatment outcomes in all regions in Indonesia.
“Breast cancer is one type of cancer that can be detected early and has a fairly high survival rate if the treatment is carried out in a timely and optimal manner. However, currently in Indonesia there are still many cases or around 60% who come in locally advanced and advanced stage,” said Cosphiadi Irawan, chairman of the Jakarta Raya branch of the Indonesian Oncology Association (POI).
