Cologne. The 9th and 10th matchdays of the Bundesliga were separated by the second round of the DFB Cup during the week.

The 10th matchday will open on Friday (October 29, 2021) with the match between TSG Hoffenheim and Hertha BSC (8.30 p.m.). 1. FC Köln has to play away at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday (3:30 p.m.), at the same time FC Bayern Munich wants to at least forget the 0: 5 mega swatter in the cup in Mönchengladbach a little at Union Berlin.

TSG Hoffenheim (eleven points) will receive Hertha BSC (twelve points) at the start of the 10th matchday. In the table, both are right next to each other, Hertha come with the self-confidence of two Bundesliga victories in a row, TSG lost 4-0 at Bayern on the last match day.

SC Freiburg – Greuther Fürth (Saturday, 3.30 p.m.)

The guests from Fürth are still without a win in the current Bundesliga season, only one point is recorded after nine games, the gap to 15th place is already seven points. Now it’s up to the Freiburg team, who are the only team to be unbeaten in Europe’s top five leagues and are currently in third place.

So far, the only two Bundesliga duels between the two teams (2012/13 season) were won by the Breisgauer. The Wolfsburg come with their new coach Florian Kohfeldt (39) in the BayArena, have crashed under ex-coach Mark van Bommel in ninth place. Eintracht shows two faces this season: in the Europa League not yet defeated from three games, in the Bundesliga, however, only one victory after nine games (2-1 in Munich). Oliver Glasner’s team is therefore only in 15th place (eight points). After a messed-up start to the season, the Leipzig team have now been unbeaten for four games.

An advantage could be: Eintracht had free after the first round of the DFB Cup last week, Leipzig, on the other hand, had to play in the second round at SV Babelsberg.

Borussia Mönchengladbach – VfL Bochum (Sunday, 5.30 p.m.)

Borussia caused a bang during the week: The foals shot the big FC Bayern out of the cup with 5-0. Against VfL Bochum, the big disillusionment should not follow, but again a jump in the table. Borussia (twelfth place) and the newcomer (14th place) only separate one point.
