After the first published photos of the super-luxury version of the Horch, which will only arrive on the Chinese market as part of the facelift, the modernized Audi A8 is shown in standard variants for Europe. Both the “short” and the extended version L underwent modernization.

The facelift is here after four years on the A8. The front part with a more pronounced radiator grille, bumper and differently shaped headlights is especially different. For the first time, the S Line package is available, which visually brings the car closer to the S8 version.

Traditionally, it pays to pause at headlights for Audi. There are 1.3 million micromirrors in each, making Matrix technology covering the surrounding traffic even more precise. The rear lights have different graphics and OLED technology newly in the standard, but no major changes have taken place here.
–
Even less work was done on the interior, which in 2017 brought in a new design language for the carmaker with three displays and a “glass” appearance of the dashboard. Other models are still adopting this style, so it would probably be too early for big changes.
–
In any case, there are new 10.1-inch displays at the rear for passengers, who are often the owners in this category as well. More than 40 driving assistants have also undergone modernization, the A8 can now and completely autonomously park, and the driver does not have to be present in the car at that time.

The engine offer remains the same. The basis is three-liter six-cylinder for gasoline and diesel, there is also a plug-in hybrid variant and an eight-cylinder top in the form of S8. The novelty should hit the market next year.
