About 28 meters from the split gas pipeline near Vetrino will be replaced with a new pipe. This was announced at 7 pm on Monday by the head of Bulgartransgaz Vladimir Malinov, who is on the scene of the accident.
On November 1, at 3 o’clock in the morning, the incident on the gas transmission network of Bulgartransgaz in the area of the village of Vetrino occurred, the gas operator announced. A section of the old gas pipeline for transmission to Romania and Serbia has been torn, no one was injured.
At least three welds of the pipeline will be needed, and it has a diameter of 1200 cm and a thickness of 12 mm, so for one point will go between 3 and 5 hours. Radiographic and ultrasound analysis will be performed on each welder by a laboratory. It will work all night and on Tuesday at 7 am it can be said when the gas supply to Serbia will be restored, Malinov said.
