Consultation launched concerning the future T5 line

The Rouen Normandy Metropolis has launched a consultation on the new T5 line project. The latter will link Mont-Saint-Aignan to the future Saint-Sever station via the Flaubert bridge. Share your opinion.

Currently, the T1 and F2 transport lines leading to Mont-Saint-Aignan and its campus are saturated. It was therefore necessary to find a way to alleviate them by avoiding the congestion nodes that are the Theater des Arts station (metro with Teor) and that of the station.

To achieve this, the Rouen Normandie metropolis decided to build the T5 line. It will leave from the future Saint-Sever station to Mont-Saint-Aignan and will pass through Cours Clémenceau, Boulevard d’Orléans (in photo), the future Flaubert district and the bridge of the same name.

If the route between the “Kindarena” pole at Mont-Riboudet to Mont-Saint-Aignan is already used and therefore will not be changed, the other part has to be developed and designed.

It is with this in mind that the Rouen Normandy Metropolis consults the population, businesses and associations through a questionnaire posted on its website.

The creation of this future T5 transport line must meet several objectives:

  • offer a fast, reliable and comfortable means of transport and improve the performance of other bus lines in the territory
  • ensure an efficient connection and connections
  • serve the future Rouen-Flaubert district as closely as possible and open up the western districts
  • create continuous, comfortable and safe routes, especially for walking and cycling
  • renovate public spaces and calm traffic on boulevard d’Orléans and courtyards while revegetating spaces wherever possible.

This citizen dialogue on the new T5 line will be held for 6 months and will offer several
modalities of information, mobilization and participation of the population.
