Along with Arina Baikova, Gabriela Nikitina and Daniil Bobrov, a participant in the Tokyo Olympic Games, the three strongest junior swimmers in Latvia, Ronen Kerman, Kristaps Miķelsons and Yegors Mikhailovs, were also included. The junior trio is waiting for its debut in the continental championship for adults.
Latvian swimmers will start in six days in 24 individual disciplines and four relays, including two mixed relays.
At the end of October, Baikov and Nikitin started in the last – fourth – stage of the World Cup season in the 25-meter pool in Kazan. Baikov entered the finals in the 100-meter and 200-meter swimming, where he reached the 8th place. Nikitin, on the other hand, won the 16th place in the 100-meter complex distance.
Tokyo Olympic Games participant Ieva Maluka is preparing for the World Championships in the 25-meter pool in Spain, which will take place in the second half of December in the United Arab Emirates.
The European Championship in Kazan will end on November 7.
