Thursday evening, Mehdi Zaïba, singer-songwriter, and Kanife in the arrangements, offered a foretaste of their next concert, after a few days of residency at Espace Beausoleil to prepare a third album.
Mehdi Zaïba said to himself ” happy “ to meet on stage, and to work with the artist Kanife, to share his texts and his melodies with the public. His songs evoke more or less painful facts of our history, such as slavery, the death penalty or a very personal version of TO the Claire fountain.
The singer declined an electro glimpse of French song, without obscuring the influences of his father’s culture, which comes from Reunion Island, where he lived for several years, and that of the metropolis where he now lives.
The next concert will be “A mix, a transition between new and old albums”, unveiled Mehdi Zaïba.
