NEW YORK – Starting Monday, November 1, New Yorkers will have to ask inside New York City coffee shops or restaurants if they want to use a straw.
This is because from this day the law comes into force, which passed during the spring, which requires that establishments in the Big Apple do not deliver sorbets to their customers unless they request it.
The same rule should be followed with straws used for coffee and other beverages.
The law was proposed as a measure to reduce garbage in the city and protect the environment.
