In the 1990s, Chris Van den Durpel’s characters grew into cultural heritage on Flemish TV. We all know skits with Firmin the boxer, Kamiel Spiessens, Jimmy B, Sylvain Van Genechten, Snelle Eddy and so on. They came to life in the program, among other things Typical Chris.
But he won’t get back into the skin of those types again, Van den Durpel says in the podcast Akkerdjie. “I have to disappoint people who hope that I will make new sketch programs in the future,” says Van den Durpel.
