Colombia received more than 1.4 million doses of the Moderna vaccine this Sunday

This Sunday 1,400,400 doses of vaccines against covid-19 from the laboratory landed in the country Modern with the objective of continuing to advance in the vaccination goals of the Colombian population.

With this arrival, Gerson Bermont Galavis, director of Promotion and Prevention of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, indicated that “with these vaccines we will complete 65,104,314 doses that have reached the national territory from different laboratories,” such as Sinovac, Pfizer , AstraZeneca, Moderna and Janssen.

“This guarantees us a sufficient volume to be able to undertake the final stretch of the National Vaccination Plan,” said Bermont Galavis, also recalling that today the vaccination of boys and girls from 3 to 11 years old will begin in the PNV.

Finally, the Director of Promotion and Prevention called on the entire population “to attend the vaccination points and apply the doses” and reiterates that the vaccines available in our country are safe.

As for the Moderna laboratory, 11,780,000 doses have reached the national territory. Of these, 8,280,400 through bilateral negotiation and 3,500,000 by donation.
