Copa America: Argentina wants to continue, Uruguay to revive

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – Argentina will seek a second straight 2021 Copa America victory over Paraguay on Monday.

After a frustrating inaugural draw against Chile (1-1), the Albiceleste, carried by a Lionel Messi in legs, won its first victory in the tournament against Uruguay’s Luis Suarez (1-0) on Friday.

The Argentines will face Paraguay on Monday, third after their victory on Tuesday against Bolivia (3-1), to consolidate their first place in Group A.

After their loss to Argentina, Uruguay will try to start their Copa America with a first victory, against Chile’s Arturo Vidal on Monday.

In group B on Sunday, Colombia can, in case of victory against Peru, overtake Brazil, exempted for the third day.
