Last night, Latvian hockey player Teodors Blugers celebrated with a successful pass in the National Hockey League (NHL) match, in which the Pittsburgh Penguins lost to New Jersey’s Devils 2: 4.
In the first third, Pittsburgh revealed the result after the Danton Heinen goal, to which Devils responded with Andreas Johnson naked shortly before the break. In the second period, Jimmy Wesy put the New Jersey team in the minority, and at the beginning of the third third, after winning the corner fight, Bluger passed to Brock McGain, who was punctual 2: 2.
The game was approaching overtaimam, which was not destined to happen – three minutes before the end of the regular time siren, after a violation, a penalty shot was sent to the “Penguins” goal, which was carried out by Jesper Brats. The point was scored by Johnson, who threw the Devils’ fourth puck into the empty goal – 2: 4.
Blugers spent 16 minutes and 54 seconds on the court, of which 20 seconds in the majority and two minutes and 23 seconds in the minority. The Latvian striker used two methods of force and won 62% of the throws, finishing the match with a positive +1. For Theodor, it was the first effective pass this season, with a total of three (2 + 1) points and a neutral utility in seven matches.
The first game of the season was played by Penguins captain Sydney Crosby, whose return after an injury was quite unsuccessful – earned a negative efficiency of -3.
For the Pittsburgh team, it was the third loss in a row and the fifth this season. The next match “Penguins” will take place on the night of November 5 at 2:00 Latvian time against one of the most principled opponents – Philadelphia “Flyers”.
