They protest over the Azteca Stadium project prior to the Young Classic between América and Cruz Azul

On the eve of the Young Classic between Cruz Azul and América, people have not yet been present at the Azteca Stadium ticket offices, but a neighborhood assembly is mounted on the esplanade against the construction of the real estate project.

“Once the World Cup is over, what about us? We will be without water,” says one of the organizers, through loudspeakers, to about 50 people.

There is not even a large presence of resellers at the Azteca Stadium ticket offices, despite the fact that the Clásico Joven is already being played tomorrow.

One of the members of the resale believes that the game arouses less interest after the defeat of America in the Final of the Concachampions.

Some residents of Santa Úrsula are opposed to the project to build a commercial corridor, hotel and apartments on the site. They argue that it will affect roads, increase the cost of basic services, cause water shortages and saturation of drainage, and increase crime.

They even propose to take their complaints to the Chamber of Deputies in the next few days.

“The negotiation begins with the fact that we categorically refuse this construction, from there up everything, down to nothing,” said one of the residents of Santa Úrsula.
