Cologne The Adler Mannheim have consolidated their table leadership in the DEL. The ex-champion prevailed 4: 2 (3: 1, 0: 0, 1: 1) against newly promoted Bietigheim Steelers and leads the league with 37 points. Meanwhile, the Krefeld Penguins celebrated a victory against Augsburg.
Defending champion Eisbären Berlin (31) improved to second place with a 5: 2 (0: 1, 2: 1, 3: 0) against Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven. The Berliners benefited from the 2: 4 (0: 2, 0: 1, 2: 1) defeat of Red Bull Munich (28) in the pursuit duel against the Grizzlies Wolfsburg (29).

Borna Rendulic (4th), Markus Eisenschmid (9th, 48th) and Jason Bast (18th) scored the goals of the Mannheim team. Berlin had a lot more trouble and was trailing 2-0 after goals from Tim Lutz (6th) and Ziga Jeglic (29th). Marcel Noebels (30th), Kevin Clark (38th), Giovanni Fiore (42nd, 59th) and Leo Pfoederl (56th) turned the encounter.

Little came together at the former master in Munich. Spencer Machacek (11th), Chris DeSousa (17th), Fabio Pfohl (36th) and Trevor Mingoia (53rd) scored for Wolfsburg.
