Apple’s revenue from China jumps 83 percent

BEIJING (ANTARA) – The US technology giant Apple Inc earned US$14.56 billion (Rp207.2 trillion) in revenue from China as of September 2021.

The figure represents an increase of 83 percent over the same period in 2020 amid high demand for the iPhone 13, Chinese media said Friday.

Apple’s fantastic achievement became a hot topic on the Weibo platform.

Even as of Friday afternoon, the topic has been followed by 65 million Weibo account owners.

Since its launch in September, iPhone 13 orders in China have reached millions of units.

In China, Apple also continues to intensify its green economy campaign.

This year the number of suppliers in China who have joined Apple’s Clean Energy Program reached 50, up 100 percent compared to last year.

“We are thrilled that so many companies in China are joining us to work together to protect the planet and support China’s green transformation,” said Isabel Ge Mahe, Managing Director of Apple Greater China.
