On Thursday, in the NFL Day 8 advanced game, one streak ended, while another continued. By beating the Arizona Cardinals (24-21), the Green Bay Packers won their seventh consecutive victory, and their opponent suffered his first setback after winning his first seven games of the season.

Arizona was on the attack in the dying minutes of the game, when quarterback Kyler Murray attempted a pass that Packers cornerback Rasul Douglas intercepted, giving his team the victory.

Green Bay took the lead just before the break (10-7), on a field goal from Mason Crosby. Two Randall Cobb touchdowns then allowed him to widen the gap. But, each time, James Conner, the Cardinals’ running back, managed to reduce it.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Kyler Murray each completed 22 assists. Arizona’s QB gained more yards (274), but was intercepted twice. Rodgers, he only launched 184 yards, but was more effective, with two touchdown passes.
