Battlefield 2042the release is fast approaching. November 19th is officially time, although pre-bookers of specific editions and EA Play subscribers can start playing as early as November 12th. Last week we got a look on five new specialists, and this time there are three different maps shown in video form.
First out is Renewal, which takes place in an agricultural area in Egypt. A giant wall runs through the area to keep the desert out, and some of the checkpoints we will take over are its massive gates. Then we have Breakaway, which takes place in Antarctica and offers a lot of verticality and plenty of icebergs to hide behind. Destructible fuel tanks can also be used to create explosions and permanent fires.
Last out is Discarded, which takes place in India and seems to be a pretty flat map. The exception is the shipwrecks that are stranded here and there, and the map should also offer deadly storms you have to watch out for.
In total, there will be seven new maps when the game is released on November 19 (early access November 12), as well as a set of classic maps from previous games.
