Witnesses wanted after the rubbish bin fire in Offenbach

The criminal investigation department is currently investigating a 21-year-old man from Mannheim and is asking witnesses who can give information about a rubbish bin fire on Saturday morning (23rd) in the entrance hall of Offenbach Central Station to report.

Around 10.45 a.m., the suspect is said to have set fire to the garbage in the garbage can in the entrance hall with a lighter he had taken with him. In addition, the 21-year-old is said to have tried to put another trash can on platform 2. There was smoke development in the entrance hall, which is why the fire brigade was alerted. According to current knowledge, there was no property damage.

The police are now asking possible victims of the smoke gas development and witnesses to call 069 / 8098-1234.
