Niantic will celebrate for the first time in the history of Pokémon GO the Day of the Dead on a global scale. The Mexican celebration, a tradition of the culture of that country, will have its own event in the popular iOS and Android title in a special and limited way. Here we tell you the date and characteristics of the event.
Date of the Day of the Dead
The event for the Day of the Dead in Pokémon GO will take place from Monday, November 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. (local time). In addition, in the GO Fighting League, coaches around the world will receive quadruple Stardust for each victory.
Characteristics of the Day of the Dead
- They will appear in the wild: Cubone, Sunkern, Murkrow, Houndour, Sableye, Roselia, Sunflora, Drifloon and Yamask (these last three will be more rare).
- They will be attracted to incense and bait modules: Cubone, Sunkern, Sunflora, Murkrow, Houndour, Sableye, Drifloon, Alola Marowak, and Yamask (the latter two will be rarer).
- Field Task Reward: Encounters with Cubone, Sunkern, Roselia, and Marowak from Alola (the latter will be rarer).
- Free t-shirt for our Day of the Dead avatar (the one in the image above).
- Free pack with 20 poké balls and an incense.
- New collection challenge. Your rewards will be an encounter with Shedinja, a Pokocho, and an Incense.
- Vullaby will begin to appear as a reward in research achievements on November 1 at 3:00 p.m. (Peruvian time).
- Cacnea Featured Pokémon Time: Tuesday, November 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (local time).
