Family Jokes During Oddie Agam’s Funeral Make Chintami Confused

On Wednesday (27/10) the country’s music world mourned the loss of a seasoned senior musician, Oddie Agam.

Oddie Agam who is popular as a singer and hits maker The era of the 80s to 90s passed away to Rahmatullah after receiving treatment for three weeks at the Friendship Hospital, Jakarta.

Oddie Agam’s body has now been buried at the Menteng Pulo TPU, South Jakarta, by his family and friends. However, in the funeral process there is a fact that is quite surprising.


When the body of the deceased was lowered into the pit, the family decided not to sound the call to prayer.

“You don’t have to pray,” said one of Oddie Agam’s family.

Hearing these remarks, Chintami Atmanegara, Oddie Agam’s ex-wife who also attended the funeral, became curious.

“Why is it not recited?” asked Chintami Atmanegara.

“Because it’s not for the call to prayer,” said Oddie Agam’s family.

In the end, the family of the deceased decided not to to preach Oddie Agam’s corpse because it was not to call for prayers.

Late Oddie Agam born with the name Imran Madjid, he was born on March 19, 1953.

Oddie Agam started career as a composer in the film entitled Palace of Beauty in 1984. His work catapulted Oddie Agam’s name in the Indonesian music scene.

Throughout Oddie Agam’s career as a musician, he has created many popular songs that eventually raise the names of many famous singers, ranging from Mus Mujiono, Vina Panduwinata, Utha Likumahuwa, neighbor country singer, Sheila Madjid, and many more.
