Tightening Digital Security, Jenius Application Can Only Login One Device

Jakarta, Selular.ID – The Jenius digital banking application launches a digital security education program on an ongoing basis for the wider community. Through this program, the company wants to increase public literacy on the importance of maintaining the security of confidential personal data, especially in the digital realm.

Irwan Tisnabudi, Digital Banking Head of Bank BTPN, said security of customer data and funds is a priority. Therefore Jenius is equipped with a layered security system to ensure the security of transactions and data storage. Jenius also uses international standard technology, layered data isolation and protection, and is supervised by Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

“The fraud cases that occurred to Jenius customers were cyber crimes with social engineering mode. Therefore, we launched the Jenius Safe program to educate the public about the security of personal data so that they can avoid cyber crimes that continue to grow,” said Irwan.

Security Features

Since its launch, Jenius has provided security features that support customers to transact using the Jenius application safely. These security features include layered security in the form of a Personal Identification Number (PIN), password and biometric authentication to enter the Jenius application, transaction limit settings, PIN settings on each debit card, comprehensive and customizable notifications, block features & unblock Jenius debit cards directly through the application, and the Jenius Pay feature which helps customers transact online without the need to enter confidential information contained in the debit card on a digital platform.

One Time Password

Along with the increasing number of cases of social engineering, Jenius added several security measures to minimize the risk of misuse of Jenius accounts by irresponsible persons due to users being tricked into providing confidential information, including OTP codes — one-time passwords.

One Device Connected

The additional security measures include a policy of one connected device, closing access to log in via the 2secure.jenius.co.id site, and closing unlink device access through the application/site and diverting it to Jenius Help 1500365 or the Sinaya Bank BTPN Branch Office.

“Digital banking services prioritize the value of user convenience and comfort and provide complete control to users in managing their accounts. We realize that the addition of this security measure has an impact on the convenience of using Jenius, but this step is taken to protect users from cybercrimes,” said Irwan.

“Currently, we have added the Jenius Help service capacity, so that the device unlink process can be completed within two hours, which previously took two working days,” explained Irwan.

User safety and comfort is a top priority. The public can access www.jenius.com/pages/jeniusaman and other official Jenius channels to find out about digital security features.
