Düsseldorf A sold out house – the stadium announcers in some football arenas could soon announce that again. Some Bundesliga clubs such as FC Bayern will be able to use their stadiums to full capacity again from the coming matchday. But what applies where and who is allowed into the stadium?
There has not been a fully occupied and sold-out stadium in the Bundesliga for almost 20 months, and that could change on the upcoming matchday. Due to the new Corona Protection Ordinance, some clubs are allowed to completely fill their stadiums again. If Greuther Fürth does not reach 100 percent capacity in the next home game against Bochum, FC Bayern Munich, 1.FC Cologne or VfB Stuttgart should report sold-out stadiums at their home games the following weekend at the latest.

While those responsible in Munich, Cologne, Stuttgart and Fürth can plan with full utilization of their arenas, other clubs may at least increase the ticket quota. Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Arminia Bielefeld are planning a capacity utilization of over 90 percent. In Gladbach, Wolfsburg and Dortmund, around 85 percent of the normal stadium capacity can be used.

This is followed by VfL Bochum, Eintracht Frankfurt and 1. FSV Mainz 05 with a possible stadium utilization of between 70 and 80 percent. Far behind, with 57 percent each, are SC Freiburg and FC Augsburg. It will take a while until 34,700 spectators are allowed to enter the new Europa-Park stadium of SC Freiburg.

Half of the normally admitted fans are allowed to appear at Union Berlin as well as in Leipzig and Hoffenheim. Union is already hoping for more viewers from next weekend and has submitted an urgent application to the competent administrative court. With 33.6 percent, Hertha BSC currently has the lowest percentage stadium capacity.

In all Bundesliga stadiums, only people who have been vaccinated, who have recovered or who have tested negative for Corona (3G) are still admitted, in Munich and Fürth, however, only with a PCR test that is no more than 48 hours old. At BVB, a daily quick test is sufficient for admission to the stadium – but this must be available digitally. In Frankfurt and Mainz, 2000 and 1000 places, respectively, are provided for PCR-tested persons. Cologne, Stuttgart, Leverkusen and Wolfsburg restrict access to those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered.

In all stadiums you must wear a mask up to your own seat, in Leipzig and Hoffenheim you have to wear a mouth and nose protection there too. At Union Berlin, viewers have to agree to a hygiene declaration before the entry, at RB Leipzig they have to fill out a symptom questionnaire and measure a fever. In addition, the spectators in all stadiums should ensure that they keep a distance of 1.5 meters, follow the hygiene rules and do not stay longer than necessary in the stadium. In addition, in most stadiums you are only allowed to consume food and drinks at your own seat, in Frankfurt there are also specially designated areas.

The only exception is the record champions. At FC Bayern Munich, the mask requirement will be lifted from the next home game and there will no longer be any distance regulations. Furthermore, the serving of alcoholic beverages will be approved again.
