Nadine Morano, MEP, lodged a complaint in a Paris police station after the theft of her cell phone on Monday evening, reports the site Current values.
The former minister of Nicolas Sarkozy arrived at Gare de l’Est in Paris by train from Nancy on Monday evening, and she explained that her phone was in her pocket when getting off the train.
It was in the taxi that she realized that she no longer had her phone containing, according to her, confidential data and the numbers of political leaders, including that of the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin.
The telephone could be geolocated, not far from the Gare de l’Est, rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis. It was quickly extinguished which comforted investigators in the trail of a theft. A suspect has reportedly been identified.
The MEP had his parliamentary suitcase as an MEP stolen at Brussels station in 2014, as she was getting ready to take her train home, in Toul, near Nancy, in Meurthe-et-Moselle.
