1. What about the occasion of the authorities: These are the honored

The first Worber official event will take place in November. It is now known who the local council will honor there.

The first Worber official event will take place on November 12th in the Bärensaal. The members of the municipal council and large municipal council GGR as well as all permanent and temporary commissions are invited. With the occasion, the municipal council wants to thank everyone who campaigns for Worb on the political level.

Also for the first time, the municipal council will honor people and groups who are particularly committed to the community or who were able to record personal, e.g. sporting, successes in the past year (BERN-OST reported).

Three certificates of honor

According to the “Worber Post”, the winners of this year are the Rüfenacht historian Marco Jorio in the field of science and the choir directors of the Bern Minster Children’s and Youth Choir Johannes and Katrin Günther in the field of culture. The Worb helps Worb project also receives a certificate of honor. The solidarity network was set up by AG Umwelt Worb to organize mutual aid during the first phases of the pandemic.

The honors replace the culture prize endowed with CHF 5,000, which the municipality has previously awarded every two years. The event is not public.
