Patricia Denegri Leon, journalist, writer and actress, is the founder and director of the “Grupo de Teatro Tocando Fondo”, she is also a member of the cast of the “Grupo de Teatro Herman Herman”, since 1989 in which she works as an actress and with which she has carried out more than 30 theatrical works in various halls of Lima and provinces. She is the intellectual co-author of the work “Amores y Fantasías en Tiempos de Viagra” together with her father, the poet and writer Cristian Denegri Uribe, author of the collection of poems “Paracas del Alma”, the book “El Impulsor Mental” and countless poems, many of them awarded first place in literary competitions in the country.
The experience of suffering and overcoming cancer was his engine that led him to tell his story. Her theatrical production ‘Next’ not only includes the voice of the author but also that of many others, who live on the margins and whose rights remain in oblivion. ‘Next’ narrates the difficulties that cancer patients go through. In this process, the state health system does not welcome them, but abhors and excludes them.
