The Ecobonus for electric is back, the best under 35 thousand euros with incentives

From 10 am today October 27 are finally the additional 100 million euros available that the Government has decided to allocate per car incentives. A move that was made to try to further support the Italian car market which is experiencing a moment of great difficulty. As we know, the fund for electric and plug-ins was already exhausted and that for cars in the 0-135 g / km CO2 range is running out.

The refinancing will allow us to continue for a while, waiting for the government to decide how to structure the incentives. For some time now, there has been talk of making structural bonuses from next year. The bulk of the 100 million euros, 65 million, will be allocated to cars that fall within the 0-60 g / km CO2 range, i.e. the 100% electric and Plug-in models.

Let us recall once again the structure of the incentives for the purchase of new cars.

  • 0-20 g / km CO2 with scrapping: 6,000 euros
  • 0-20 g / km CO2 without scrapping: 4,000 euros
  • 21-60 g / km CO2 with scrapping: 2,500 euros
  • 21-60 g / km CO2 without scrapping: 1,500 euros
  • 61-135 g / km CO2 with scrapping: 1,500 euros

Thanks to the new funds it will be possible to return to having a subsidy for the purchase of a BEV model. Let’s see, therefore, what might be some of the more interesting battery-powered cars to be purchased by setting the budget limit of 35,000 euros (figure including the incentive of 6,000 euros in case of scrapping). Obviously we do not take into consideration any additional promotions and discounts from manufacturers.

VOLKSWAGEN GROUP

Let’s start from Volkswagen Group which it offers under the Volkswagen brand la ID.3 which thanks to the contribution starts from 27,900 euros (33,900 euros the starting price). A model proposed in different versions that we have already had the opportunity to try. Beware, however, that not all set-ups and versions fall within the virtual budget we have set ourselves. Let’s move on then to Skoda which proposes the new Enyaq iV.

It starts from € 30,500 thanks to incentives (€ 36,600 without). The versions compatible with the spending limit that we have set ourselves are 50 and 60. Attention, however, to the choice of accessories that can raise the price. To find out how this electric SUV is doing we refer you to our review. Among the electric cars of the Volkswagen Group we also mention the new Cupra Born which, thanks to the incentives, falls within our spending budget.

THE KOREANS

Hyundai e Kia they are pushing a lot on the electric. Speaking of Hyundai, one cannot fail to mention of Kona which has had an excellent sales success also thanks to its efficiency which allows it to have excellent autonomy in the version with a 64 kWh battery. The electric crossover starts at 29,850 euros with incentives (35,850 euros without) in the Xtech City set-up with 39.2 kWh battery. The Xline version is also part of our virtual budget, again with a 39.2 kWh battery.

Turning to Kia, we can not fail to mention the e-Niro which thanks to the state bonus starts at 29,850 euros (35,850 euros without). We are talking about the Urban version with a 39.2 kWh accumulator. Also included in the budget is the version with a 64 kWh battery always in the Urban version (34,850 euros with the bonus).

THE CITIZENS

We start from the three electric most suitable for city use new 500 electric (here our test) that thanks to the bonus you can buy from 20,500 euros (26,500 euros without), in the Action set-up with 23.2 kWh battery. Recently arrived on the market with a good sales success, the Dacia Spring thanks to the incentive, it goes from 20,100 euros starting price to 14,100 euros in the Comfort set-up. For the most complete set-up you need 1,500 euros more.

The “queen” of big cities, la Smart EQ fortwo, starts from 25,769.80 euros to which 6,000 euros must be deducted. Electricity can thus be purchased from € 19,769.80. Let’s move on to the Honda E which starts from 36,400 euros which thus become 30,400 euros. It’s a hair’s breadth in the budget pure the BMW i3 which thanks to the state bonus goes from 40,600 euros to 34,600 euros. Obviously you will not have the possibility to customize it, under penalty of overrun of the spending ceiling.

Finally, in this small roundup of electric we mention the models of the former PSA Group which all rest on the same platform. A choice that has certainly made it possible to obtain important constructive savings but which has limited the possibility of proposing different powertrains with greater powers and autonomies. Thanks to incentives, models such as the Peugeot e-208, Peugeot e-2008, Opel Corsa-e, Opel Mokka-e and the new e-C4 fall within the spending threshold.
