“Look what your child does with the media”: This is the title of an awareness campaign with which the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs warns parents about the dark side of the Internet – just recently with a drastic TV commercial. The indictment against a young man from the Altenkirchen area, who has to answer before the district court for the sexual abuse of children, the acquisition and possession of child pornographic content and coercion, is reminiscent of this background.
