The XTurismo Limited Edition bike is equipped with a conventional motor for road riding and four electric motors for flight.
In Japan, drone startup ALI Technologies has unveiled the XTurismo Limited Edition hybrid flying bike. It is reported by The Japan Times.
The flying bike is equipped with one conventional engine and four electric motors and can fly for 40 minutes at speeds up to 100 kilometers per hour.
“So far, the choice has been to move either on the ground or in the sky. We hope to offer a new method of travel,” said CEO Daisuke Katano.
The company demonstrated the bike on a short flight a few meters off the ground on the race track near Mount Fuji.
Katano clarified that in the near future, the bike will not be allowed to fly on the congested roads of Japan. But the device can be used by rescue teams to get to hard-to-reach places.
Earlier it was reported that in the Netherlands flying car PAL-V Liberty received from the Department of Motor Vehicles a permit to travel on public roads.
