If you are interested in wearable electronics and various ways to monitor your physical activity as well as health and life functions, you may know the Finnish company Oura Health, which has finally introduced the long-awaited third generation of its smart ring Oura Ring.

With the new version comes the possibility of continuous monitoring of the heart rate. After sports performance and subsequent regeneration, it is now possible to look back at information about the heart rate. The number of temperature sensors has increased from three to seven, which will also contribute to more accurate temperature measurements.

Like for example Apple Watch the new version of Oura Ring will also offer blood oxygen level measurement. However, this feature will not be available until next year. It can be used by athletes as well as in predicting health problems. Oura Health CEO Harpreet Rai said that direct diagnosis and treatment design are not yet at play, but the ring may indicate that something unusual is happening and that you should see a doctor.

Oura Ring will cost you 300 to 400 USD depending on its surface treatment (6,600 to 8,800 CZK without VAT). A novelty is a monthly subscription of 6 USD (130 CZK without VAT), which you will have to pay to access the application with all the advanced statistics.

Without this application, you will only have basic data. But users of older ring models can celebrate because they get a discount on new hardware and a lifetime subscription to the app for free.
