Kerwa under Corona conditions: Leutenbach shows how it’s done – Leutenbach

– That you can hold a Kerwa even under pandemic conditions without “aftermath” has been shown this year in Leutenbach.

Unlike what happened in another municipality in the Forchheim district, where the place then became a Corona hotspot, the Kerwaburschen and those responsible from FC Leutenbach proved at their “slimmed-down” parish fair this year that such festivities are quite possible without afterwards make unwanted headlines. The initiators did not forego anything and the Kerwa visitors also got their money’s worth.

That had to do with the fact that the event where the Kerwa took place every year (on the old sports field) was not held and the whole festival was held around the clubhouse in Dietzhof. “Kerwa-light” was the headline and Daniel Drummer, who is responsible for public relations at FC Concordia Leutenbach and who was responsible for the planning of this year’s Kerwa, always kept an eye on the currently applicable restrictions according to the infection control measures ordinance.

But Christian Pirmer, who is also a board member of the sports club who is responsible for preparing food, adhered to the guidelines with his team. All food offers on the three days were also available to take away, but everything had to be ordered. On Friday there was a fish barbecue, in the evening the family band “Drummers – what else” with Christian, Alexander, Michelle and Judith set the mood. The conditions: 3G rule, 1.5 meters distance, hand hygiene and adequate ventilation.

In addition, party tents were set up around the sports center, all of which were well occupied. The number of visitors to all events was limited to 200 people in accordance with the requirements. On Saturday afternoon there was coffee, cake and freshly baked Küchla, then the “Baamaufstelln” followed and later an “Italian evening” with pizza, pasta and salad was announced.

The sport was not neglected either, on Sunday after lunch – of course with Schäuferla and Klöß – the 1st team of FC Leutenbach played against Uttenreuth (and left with 2: 1). Before that, the second teams had already competed against each other. On Sunday evening, the weather gods were kind to the people, the “Betznaustanzen” could take place in the open air according to the strict 3G rule, Marie Ruhland and Simon Dorsch were the lucky ones.

Admission to the brass music evening on Sunday was only possible with registration and strict control. The veal sausage early Monday morning – already an established tradition and famous far beyond Leutenbach – was not to be missed, albeit in a slimmed-down form this year as a result of the pandemic. All in all a successful Kerwa-light.
