If for some reason you prefer that people do not know when you were connected in the messaging applications or when you were last, currently all platforms give you the option to hide it. Some call it “being active” and others call it “being online”, but in general it is possible to go unnoticed in instant messaging applications.
Instagram was the last to add this functionality when it was already available for some time in Mark Zuckerberg’s other two applications (WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger). And of course Telegram includes it in its configuration. Let’s see how it is done in each of them, regardless of whether your device is iOS or Android.
Let’s start with the most popular of the four. WhatsApp has allowed for many years to hide the time of the last connection so that nobody could check when we opened the application. Deactivating it is very simple but it has several consequences: we cannot see when other people are connecting and we will be visible when we are with the application open, viewing our contact list or writing to someone.
To deactivate it we have to follow the following steps:
1. We open the menu ‘Settings’, You can access it by clicking on the icon in the upper right corner where the list of conversations is located.
2. Within ‘Settings’ let’s go to the section that says ‘Accounts’.
3. Then we will ‘Privacy’.
4. Let’s touch where it says ‘Last hour time’ and we choose with whom we want to share that information: our contacts, all or none.
5. You can also deselect the proof of reading if you want from the same section
It should be noted that this process can return to its original configuration as many times as you wish per day.
Instagram was the last major social network to add the option to show connection time. With this new function they also allowed to hide it, but for this we have to do it manually. Our contacts can see when we last accessed the application through internal messages, and this is how we can deactivate it:

1. We open our profile (the icon of a person in the bottom bar) and click on the three lines that appear in the upper right corner.
2. select ‘Setting’ in the menu that appears.
3. We scroll down and look for the option ‘Activity status’.
4. We deactivate it and voila, no one else will know when we open Instagram
3. TELEGRAM
The instant messaging application, which is giving something to talk about, has always stood out for providing its users with a large number of options, so it is also possible to chat on ‘ninja mod’ and disable the last connection time. To do this, we need to do the following:

1. We open the options menu by sliding our finger from the left edge to the center of the screen and clicking on ‘Settings’.
2. In this menu we enter the option ‘Privacy & Security’.
3. Here we can change, as in WhatsApp, who can see our last connection time.
4. MESSENGER DE FACEBOOK
Facebook also allows us to chat invisibly with its messaging service. Their application is excellent, but the first access to the configuration menu is very unintuitive since there is no such menu, but everything is integrated into the interface they use to manage the account.

The steps are:
1. Tap on the thumbnail of the avatar personal, as you can see in the picture.
2. Once there we access ‘State’.
3. In this section, we deselect the tab if it is activated.
Once this is done, we will stop contacting our contacts as soon as we are available. Of course, they can still know if we have read their messages or not.
