Authorities said a police officer was injured and a suspect was taken into custody.
Boise Police Chief Ryan Lee said police were responding to reports of a shooting at the Boise Towne Square mall just before 2 p.m. local time (Tuesday, 03.00 WIB).
Officers who visited the scene found someone who matched the suspect’s description.
A shootout with the suspect left an officer injured and the suspect arrested, the police chief said.
“We believe there was only one shooter involved, and there is no longer a threat to the wider community,” Lee said.
The police did not provide any other information about the suspect and the identity of the victim.
