The Corona traffic light in Bavaria currently shows “green”. But what happens when the corona traffic light changes to yellow or even to red? We have summarized the currently applicable provisions again in an overview:
Corona warning level green
The Corona traffic light in Bavaria is currently green. This means that within the last seven days fewer than 1200 new corona patients have been admitted to Bavarian hospitals – and currently fewer than 600 corona patients have to be cared for in intensive care units in the Free State.
Read all current developments in the region in our Corona ticker. You can find the latest corona data from the individual districts as well as statistics on the situation in the clinics in our large data overview.
If the level is green, the 3G rule applies to a seven-day incidence over 35 in the city or district. There are no contact restrictions and a surgical mask may be worn instead of an FFP2 mask. The principle applies: inside with a mask, outside without.
Corona warning level yellow
If more than 1200 corona patients are admitted to the clinics in Bavaria in a week, the warning level yellow applies. Currently (as of October 23, 2021) 419 Corona admissions have been recorded, which corresponds to 35 percent of the warning value.
If the level is yellow, the 3G rule applies. The mask standards are raised to FFP2 masks. Contact restrictions come back into effect. Except in school, test evidence with PCR tests is required, and there is again an upper limit for public and private celebrations, according to the Ministry of Health. It is not yet clear what the upper limits and restrictions should look like in detail.
Corona warning level red
As soon as more than 600 corona patients need to be treated in the intensive care units in Bavaria, the red warning level comes into effect. Currently (as of October 23), with 320 occupied intensive care beds, 53 percent of the red level has been reached.
If the level is red, the 3G rule applies, FFP2 masks must be worn. Contact restrictions are also coming back into force, but to what extent is still unclear. Except in school, PCR test evidence will again be required. There is an upper limit for private and public events as well as other, unspecified “specifically adapted measures to prevent overloading the health system”. – kse
