Halo Infinite trailer shows off the single player campaign

After focusing a lot on the multiplayer part in recent months, Microsoft and 343 Industries have finally released a proper look at Halo Infinite’s single player campaign. In a six-minute video – which you can watch above – the developer shows what players can expect when they embark on the Master Chiefs next adventure.

As we know from the past, the story begins with the malicious Banished race defeating humans and taking control of Zeta Halo. All hope seems to be gone, but then Master Chief reappears to save the day.

However, the journey begins without any help from Cortana. Instead, players get a new artificial intelligence, called The Weapon.

In the familiar Halo style, players must mow down hordes of small and large beasts. This time, however, everything takes place in an open world, where players are free to choose which order they want to tackle the campaign.

Enemies make many familiar faces, but also new creatures to hone in on. For help, you get a bunch of different weapons, as well as several upgrade options for Master Chiefs equipment. These you can see a glimpse of around 4 minutes and 10 seconds into the trailer.

Halo Infinite launches on December 8, for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
