At least two people were killedwhen a gunman opened fire Monday at a mall in Idaho, according to Boise Police Chief Ryan Lee.
Four other people, including a Boise police officer, were injured, CNN quoted Ryan Lee as saying.
He confirmed that his staff responded to the signals of the shots around 1:50 p.m. The initial information was that at least one person has been shot and killed, “Ryan Lee said.
The shooter’s motives are currently unknown.
There is a detained suspect, AP reported, referring to the police. Police engaged in a shootout with the alleged attacker in the mall before detaining him.
Boise is the capital of the northwestern US state of Idaho.
