Jakarta – Inspirational, while busy studying at Harvard Executive Education, this figure will also be the first female CEO of sharia fintech. She is Princess Madarina, who is familiarly called Puma.
Puma apparently has pocketed the financial ability since elementary school. His parents practiced good financial habits and mindset. One of them, by setting aside some pocket money for savings.
The figure, known as a financial planner or Islamic finance influencer, was born in the United States 33 years ago. Now, Puma is back in touch with his place of birth because he is currently studying hard at the Executive Education program from Harvard Business School.
There, Puma focuses on Sustainable Business Strategy. However, because in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, he studied virtually.
Before heading to Harvard, he first took a master’s degree in Business Administration, Professional Degree, at Bina Nusantara University (BINUS). Puma admitted that he chose this field because he was interested in social enterprise. Thus, according to him, doing business is not only for profit, but also to support the social environment.
Even so, the undergraduate education he took was apparently quite the opposite. “I majored in graphic design because in 2012 there were very few non-financial majors, so I took a certification (financial planner). Due to having a social vision since childhood, Puma has established a financial community to pioneer sharia fintech.
The community he built was called Halalvestor. And the sharia fintech platform that he is building has the name Vestora.
Sharia fintech has a broad understanding. One of them is a platform that brings together investors and owners of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
“So provide capital with a profit-sharing scheme,” said Puma.
Even so, he admitted that the process of obtaining a sharia fintech permit was not easy. Puma took almost a year.
The creation will be released in early 2022 and Puma will become the first female CEO of sharia fintech in Indonesia.
