The case starts when in May 2019 a batch of 400 kilos of cocaine is found between a shipment of bananas, after which the police are called in. He confiscated the cocaine. In the days that follow, William de Groot, the director of the fruit trade, receives several threatening messages. In it, he is informed that he is responsible for the seizure of the drugs and that he must pay an amount of 1.2 million euros. If he didn’t, he would have to take attacks into account. They were actually committed.
