NEW YORK – New York City Police are searching for a suspect in the shooting of a woman outside the scene of a baby shower Saturday night.
Authorities say the shooting occurred just before midnight at an event hall in Atlantic Avenue in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn.
The 25-year-old victim was shot four times and is expected to recover, police said.
The uniformed woman also pointed out that the woman was not pregnant nor was she the intended target of the shots. It was not immediately clear if she was a guest at the event.
Police have not released any details of the suspect or announced any arrests.
