At least 16 dead, including seven children, would be the toll of a fire fight that took place in Herat, in western Afghanistan, between the Taliban and a group of ISIS militants. Health sources told the Dpa after the bodies of six men and three women, as well as seven children, were transferred to the hospital in Herat, awaiting identification.
Earlier, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry had reported the killing of three militants, accused of being responsible for kidnappings, in the three-hour firefight.
