Colico (Lecco), 24 October 2021 – A man died in the night run over by a car. It’s a hunt for the motorist who hit him and did not stop. The accident occurred at Colico. The victim is Alessandro Martinalli, 57-year-old restaurateur in the area and resident in the province of Sondrio. The pedestrian was run over in the section of the Sp 72 of via Nazionale Nord near the junction of the highway just before 4.30.
Health workers from Areu di Sondrio intervened to help him, with volunteers from the Italian Red Cross from Colico. The firefighters of the Morbegno detachment were also mobilized. For the 57-year-old, however, there was nothing to do and the rescuers could not do anything else immediately ascertain the death. The victim’s coffin was transferred and reassembled in the hospital mortuary waiting for the magistrate on duty to evaluate the possibility of any other investigations, such as the autopsy. The carabinieri who are on the trail of the pirate are investigating the dynamics.
