TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Special Rapporteur PBB for Myanmar, Tom Andrews, presents the findings of the annual human rights report Myanmar to the General Assembly, Friday (10/22/2021).
Andrews said he had received information that tens of thousands of military troops and heavy weapons were being moved to restive areas in the north and northwest. Myanmar.
The findings suggest that the military government or junta appears to have been preparing for crimes against humanity and war crimes.
The tactics are reminiscent of the tactics the military used before the attack genocide in 2016 and 2017.
“This tactic is reminiscent of the tactics used by the military prior to the genocidal attacks against the Rohingya in Rakhine State in 2016 and 2017,” Andrews said. Channel News Asia.

It is known, about 740,000 Rohingya people fled from Rakhine state Myanmar in 2017.
They fled after security forces launched a crackdown that complied PBB as genocide.
Further, Andrews hopes his estimates are wrong.
Even so, he wanted PBB remain prepared for more mass atrocities by the military.
“We all have to be ready, because people in this part of Myanmar are ready, for more crimes of mass atrocities. I really hope that I’m wrong,” Andrews said.
