The release of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, the remastered collection of the strategy games from 2001 and 2003, has been delayed. The Nintendo Switch game was supposed to be released on December 3, but that will now be the spring of 2022.
Nintendo late in a tweet know that the game ‘needs a little more time for minor adjustments’. The game is not getting a specific release date in Spring 2022 at this time. The game was announced by Nintendo in June, during its Nintendo Direct presentation as part of the E3 digital games show.
The two Advance Wars games are strategy games that originally came out on the Game Boy Advance. They largely take place in a top-down perspective, where players take turns moving their units around the map. Mission objectives range from taking cities, wiping out the enemy, or protecting or destroying special buildings or units. Fog of war and the properties of units and landscapes play a major role in the conflicts.
