Red Bull driver Serhio Peress has shown the fastest time in the second practice race of the US GP, overtaking McLaren driver Lando Noris by a quarter of a second.
If in the first training the two drivers of the Mercedes unit were the fastest, then in the second training the Red Bull team also showed its speed. This time it was the unit’s second pilot Perez who was the fastest, but he was followed by Norris and Lewis Hamilton, who was 0.364 seconds behind in the best time.
Hamilton teammate Walter Botass finished in fourth place, while second McLaren rider Daniel Ricardo finished fifth. The first six was finished by Lens Strolls (“Aston Martin”), but the championship leader Verstapen showed only the eighth time.
The two main contenders for the championship title also exchanged ‘kindness’ on the track for Verstapen, following Hamilton’s overtaking maneuver, showing his middle finger.
