Indie studio EggNut and publisher Raw Fury have announced that Backbone, the critically successful post-noir mystery adventure released earlier this year for PCs, will finally receive its long-awaited console versions next Thursday, October 28 .
The title arrives for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass, while the Switch, Mac and Linux versions remain under development and are scheduled for the end of the year.
A new trailer for the game was also released today, so console gamers can get a taste of the plot to come in Backbone. Check out the video in Portuguese below:
In Backbone, players don the overcoat of Howard Lotor, a depressed raccoon who works as a private detective while exploring the dystopian landscape of a purely animal-inhabited Vancouver. The dark city of neon lights and skyscrapers hides a deep personal story of discovery and transformation. The release of the console versions is also the perfect chance for even more players around the world to explore the rich world of Howard and his characters, as the release will also bring localization into a number of new languages, including Brazilian Portuguese.
To celebrate the Halloween Trick and Treat Season, the Steam version of Backbone will also receive 25% off Steam Halloween Promotions between October 28th and November 1st.
