NYC Fishermen Catch “Monster” 600-Pound Tuna | Photos | Univision 41 New York WXTV

Kyle Colesanti, a 29-year-old fisherman, is one of many in New York City who fish for trophies for Atlantic bluefin tuna, the largest of the 15 species, which can measure up to 13 feet in length and weigh up to 2,000 pounds. “The boats occasionally caught ‘ghosts,’ which is how we always refer to tunas because we saw them – jumping and bursting on the surface – but we never caught them,” Colesanti told The New Post. “This year, they came to our waters, they settled, and we hunted them for more than three months,” he added.
